In October 2019, Eric Lee Hayes Sr., a disabled military veteran, was convicted of murder. The verdict was a shock to everyone in the court room as the only "evidence" was his DNA found on a cap outside the residence in the street (along with the DNA of several others that was unidentifiable). There was nothing placing him inside the home, no fingerprints, no witness testimony... nothing. Eric has maintained his innocence since his arrest in July 2018 and is currently facing a mandatory life sentence with no possibility of parole.
Please help support Eric's appeal by buying a shirt or donating. Something like this could happen to any one of us and that's a tragedy.
Once Eric's case has been resolved, we want to pay this forward by helping other families when they find themselves in this position, unable to come up with a retainer, pay for an attorney, and help families with the additional expenses that come from having a family member who is incarcerated.
